UKRAINE WAR: About 300 Nigerians arrive Abuja

The Federal Government On Saturday announced the arrival of 300 Nigerian students that were trapped in Sumy, Ukraine.
Evacuation Flight AZM2351 @AzmanAir Nigerians from Budapest, Hungary arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport today, Saturday, 12h March 2022 at 8:50 PM local time, the majority of which are the #SumyStudents from Ukraine.

Mustapha Ahmed, the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), received the returnees.

Ahmed, represented by the Director of Search and Rescue, Edward Adedokun, assured the evacuees of the Federal Government’s determination to cater for their needs by making available transport fare to their various destinations.

The Director, Consular Department Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bolaji Akinremi, said that the evacuation would continue in line with the commitment of the Federal Government to bring home all Nigerians affected by the situation in Ukraine.
