Man rescued after attempting to commit suicide in Ogun river

Young man identified as Fatai Oyedele, was rescued after he attempted to commit suicide at the popular Ogun River in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The 35-year-old arrived at the river at about 1pm today and attempted to plunge into it. He was rescued by men of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Corps, who goes by the name, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the man who is married with five children, said he was frustrated with his life.
