In the early hour of this morning, a fire outbreak destroyed properties worth millions of Naira at the Atakumosa Central market in Ilesa, Osun state.
The fire which was said to have started around 1am raged on for over two hours before it was put out around 3:45am by operatives of fire service in the state.
The fire which broke out early hours on Tuesday 11th Febuary 2020 without knowing its cause as the fire could not be put out by the group of people who came to help which lead to their summon for the fire fighters.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Folasade added that the extent of damage cannot be ascertained yet, but confirmed that several shops were razed by the outbreak.
Disclosing that police deployed men to the scene to forestall wanton looting of shops by miscreants.
